TweetDeck is a desktop application created with Adobe AIR technology. TweetDeck is a browser application for something that is real time like a status update on social media networks, like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and MySpace.
 

What is Adobe Air? Adobe Air is cross-platform runtime environment developed by Adobe Systems for building rich Internet applications (rich internet applications). Technology initially developed using the merger between Adobe Flash, Adobe Flex, HTML, or Ajax.
The result of all these mergers can then be used as a desktop application, like this TweetDeck. As a Twitter application, then the Twitter API is used to allow users to send and receive tweets and and saw a Twitter user profile.
TweetDeck not only can be used to update your Twitter status, TweetDeck also allows you all to update the status on Facebook, MySpace, and LinkedIn. In addition to updating the status, with TweetDeck you can also reply, retweet it, to comment status, either your friends on Twitter, Facebook, or other.
TweetDeck is a Twitter application (most people use for Twitter), a well known and is compatible with many operating systems like Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
